September 07, 2006All Joined UpOver the weekend, Orangina received both a finished front AND a back, and then the two were joined in a happy union presided over by US3 Addi Turbos. We're now in the home stretch, ribbing to within an inch of my sanity. Four more inches to go and a couple quick seams -- I'll be wearing her by this weekend (I hope!).
But meanwhile, the siren song of Jemima is getting louder.... As is the siren song of nice weather after all the rain! I love DC in the fall. Today it's sunny and cool -- the best combination ever. Comments
I vote for: 1. square (because it will take you one evening), and then 2. Jemima and mitten. There is a LOT of stockinette on Jemima and you'll want the mitten as distraction :) Orangina looks amazing!! I'm looking forward to seeing a modeled pose! Posted by: Erin at September 7, 2006 07:12 AMI LOVE how Orangina is looking! I can't wait to see her on you - she's gonna look fab (the fact that the person modeling it already looks fab is just icing on the cake). Yes, since the square has got a deadline, it should get done first... Mine would take a night if I ever actually sat down and worked on it. After that, though, I'm all for Jemima! Worked on 8s, it's gonna take no time at all to get through it. (Again, if I ever worked on mine, it wouldn't take long. LOL.) Posted by: Holly at September 7, 2006 07:55 AMWow, you really sped through Orangina. I did mine on 5's and it took forever. Hopefully, you can get some wear out of her before it gets too cool. I say crank out those small projects before you get into another big one. Orangina looks fantastic. I have to vote with the masses and say square first, then Jemima. I'm the slowest knitter in the world - I have to live vicariously through others' progress! Posted by: dani at September 7, 2006 08:19 AMThe weather has been amazing! I love it today - I ate outside at lunch ;) Your Orangina is so pretty, Ann! I forgot to mention that I saw your Sea Breeze at Knit Happens last week when I popped in! Wow, it is even better in person! You did a great job on it! Posted by: Lolly at September 7, 2006 12:09 PMI love the knitted product! And I want to see the sweater on the model maker. It is gorgeous. Posted by: jean at September 7, 2006 08:08 PMOrangina is lovely. A perfect sweater as we head into autumn--also my favorite time of year--can't wait to see it modeled in person. Posted by: Aimee at September 8, 2006 11:48 AMOOOhhh so pretty! Guess what? .... your yarn is ready! it's all done. I'll drop it off either Sunday or Wednesday night. See ya!
