September 22, 2005A Bad Joke That Denotes ProgressWhere does Ann put her army? In her sleevie!
Okay, bad joke I know. Couldn't resist. Anyway, I'm just tickled that I finished the first sleeve of Sunrise, and had plenty of yarn left over. Looks like I should be in fine shape for the hood after all (and may not even need to rip out the swatch). Now I know I really should have gone ahead and casted on the second sleeve, or even the front, but I couldn't resist getting a start on this:
That's a second Jilly scarf, in a second round of Lush, this time Latte and Madder. [Last time: Latte and Sky Blue.] I'm not sure if this is for me or for a gift, but I had this unsuppressable urge to start it last night at Knit Happens. I was powerless to resist. I feel a little guilty for slacking on Sunrise [Jilly2.0 uses the same needles], but the scarf should be done in a few days. I guess I'm hoping that if I knit fall accessories it will stop being 90 degrees here? *** Wow oh wow, am I still loving Lost. It's refreshing to see that the writers have picked right back up in the same suspenseful, spine-tingling way that they left off. To me this show is like 24... I enjoy it so much that I can hardly wait for a week to pass between episodes--I'd love to watch them all at once, but I also want to prolong the season as long as possible, to enjoy every last second of the spookiness. And for a Lost-watching treat, a friend came over last night and brought me these:
Hershey's cinnamon chips - something I'd never seen before a few months ago, when the same friend whipped up his fantastic cinnamon-chip pancakes on a camping trip. I promised that if he brought me some cinnamon chips [they're only available in one grocery store that we know of], I'd turn them into something delicious. Less than an hour later, they became these:

Posted by: stinkerbell at September 23, 2005 09:08 AMYum! I want cookies :0) Posted by: Donna at September 27, 2005 07:28 AMI'm with Cindy. Maybe we need to have a sampling/comparison tasting of the merits of the cinnamon chips to the butterscotch ones? Right now both just sound sooo good...
