Reentry

A quick entry:
* San Francisco was great. The weather was stunning -- 80 degrees and cloudless every day. I understand this is very rare for San Francisco.

* Yosemite was beyond awesome. A record snowfall this winter made for absolutely spectacular waterfalls this summer as the snowpack melts. We also saw bears! Check back later in the week for nature photos.

* Artfibers gets a bullet point all its own. It's that good. My time was rushed there, but I still managed to buy some great stuff. Details coming later.

* I finished Truelove:

The finishing on this sweater took as long as it did to knit, I think. But the reverse-stockinette bands at the neckline really set off the sweater nicely, I think:

And the mom-to-be loved the little bunny button at the back of the neck:

Of course I had grand ambitions of making a little hat to go along with the sweater, but if you can believe it: I did no knitting on vacation. Was simply too tuckered out from the hiking and the sightseeing each day. So it's sort of a miracle the sweater got finished at all -- it took both cross-country plane rides to seam it and weave in the ends.
